Why should I choose ScanCode?

If customers can go to my website on their phone, why do I need to use ScanCode?

ScanCode adds convenience to your customers’ experience. You have “done the work for them” by bundling key aspects of your business into an easily-accessible package via your ScanCode's QR mobile landing page. Customers can browse, order and pay all from one place. They can also better engage with your brand because your QR landing page features clickable buttons that drive customer action. You control the content, which influences consumer behavior.

I use Square or PayPal and they already offer QR code payment, why should I use ScanCode?  ​

Our product integrates directly with Square and PayPal to accept payment. But with ScanCode, you also get a customized QR landing page that lets you emphasize other parts of your business. You can increase customer retention and revenue because your company's QR landing page will feature various clickable buttons that drive customer action. You can also highlight other relevant information that fosters customer engagement. (Menus, photos, coupons, websites, social sharing, etc.)  And the content of your QR code and landing page can be modified, which makes them adaptable marketing tools. ScanCode gives you another platform to expand customer retention and revenue in the growing omnichannel universe of the modern retail business model.

My business primarily offers services (i.e., hair and nail salons) and/or I do not offer online ordering, can I still use ScanCode?

Yes, ScanCode will still benefit your business. We can design your ScanCode so that your product and services menu is prominently displayed on your landing page, along with phone and payment options. If you use Square or PayPal to process credit card payments, you can directly link your ScanCode to those accounts. In terms of digital wallets, Square configures with Apple and Google Pay, while PayPal complies with Google Pay. When customers scan your ScanCode, your phone number, menu and a payment link can appear on your landing page. After customers place their order either over the phone or in person, they can pay using the link. Keep in mind that due to processor configurations, customers are responsible for correctly entering the amount due. Therefore, you may want to complete the transaction when customers receive their product(s) or service(s) so that you can verify the purchase price. 

I already have a credit card reader and/or I accept online payments, why do I need to offer QR code payment?

ScanCode does not replace the payment systems you already have established, it enhances them. Consumer behavior research shows that the more payment options you offer customers, the more likely they are to complete a purchase; make the buying process as easy as possible, it’s that simple. Unlike credit card readers, ScanCode encapsulates the entire customer purchase experience from start to finish. By combining the procedures of browsing (consideration), ordering (call-to-action) and payment (completion) into one solution, you are streamlining the process for your customers and your team. And unlike other options, ScanCode requires no special equipment, hardware, software or additional transaction fees. 

Customers call in their orders, can I still benefit from using ScanCode?

Yes, your ScanCode also can feature your phone number as your primary means to order. Rather than integrating an online ordering system, we can highlight your phone number and create a contact link for customers to directly call your business using your ScanCode. What is your pricing?

We offer monthly or annual recurring subscription payment plans at three levels of $6, $12 and $18. Customers who choose an annual subscription receive a 15% discount, lowering their correlated monthly amount due. Please note that to receive the reduced rate, customers are charged on an annual basis at $61.20, $122.40 and $183.60 per plan. I’ve signed up for a subscription plan, now what?

The next, and most vital step, is to fill out your ScanCode Data Form, which can be found here. Once you submit this form, we can begin the process of creating your personalized ScanCode. Upon approval, you will receive your downloadable ScanCode, which your customers can start using immediately. You also will receive a complimentary ScanCode starter kit in the mail, which contains various collateral materials such as table tents and labels, for you to display and promote your ScanCode. ScanCode is different because we use QR codes as a practical tool to help your business be more efficient. We design our QR landing pages to be highly-functional by linking them directly to product offerings and payment processes. No frills, all function.

Is it possible to change my subscription plan level during my plan period?

Yes, you may upgrade or downgrade from your current plan level (Starter to Pro; Pro to Partner; Starter to Partner or vice versa) at any time during your existing subscription period. Contact us at info@scancodeqr.com to do so. In both cases, the previous remaining recurring payment (if any and calculated on a pro-rata basis) will be adjusted up or down for the next billing cycle and either a refund of the difference or an invoice reflecting the increase will be sent, along with an email alerting you of the changes. Note that the refund amount will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. Alternatively, we also can extend the validity of your new subscription plan by a time period equivalent to the refund amount you are eligible for by increasing or decreasing the period of the new subscription plan accordingly.

 

How long will my ScanCode stay active?

Your ScanCode stays active for as long as you maintain your ScanCode account in good standing with updated payment and business information. If your primary payment method fails, you authorize us to charge any other payment method in your account. If you have not provided us a backup payment method(s) and you fail to provide payment, or if all payment methods in your account fail, we may suspend your subscription. You can edit your payment information anytime on your ScanCode Wallets page in the Members Section of our website.

May I cancel my plan?

You may cancel your plan at any time, but will be billed - and responsible to pay for - the entirety of your purchased plan schedule, which runs on either a monthly or annual basis. To manage your financial commitment, ScanCode offers a 21-day trial period at the beginning of your subscription plan where you can cancel anytime during those 21 days, no questions asked. To initiate this process, please email us at info@scancodeqr.com. We also offer the flexibility of monthly or annual subscription periods to help you choose the best option for your budget. 

 

May I get a refund?

ScanCode provides a 21-day trial period where a full refund is permitted, no matter what. Contact us at info@scancodeqr.com to expedite the refund process. Outside of those first 21 days, ScanCode does not permit refunds on plans except in two (2) cases:

 

  1. When a recurring payment is made because auto-renewal was active, but you did not intend to renew. 

  • When you purchase a ScanCode subscription, auto-renewal is kept active by default. This occurs so that your account and dynamic QR Codes remain active and your end-users (those who scan your ScanCode) are not adversely affected. However, you may cancel auto-renewal at any time via your account settings.​​

  • An email notification is sent to you whenever a recurring payment is made on your account. However, we understand that sometimes there can be a delay in cancelling auto-renewal. If you notify us within 10 days of annual renewal or 5 days of monthly renewal that you did not wish to renew your account, ScanCode will make a full refund of your last recurring payment. The refund will be made to your credit card within 48 hours and you will receive the amount credited back to your card within 7-10 business days.

  2. Because of recurring technical issues with your ScanCode.          Such cases are handled by the executive team and a                  decision will be made on a case-by-case basis. How are payments processed?   

Your subscription begins as soon as your initial payment is processed. Your subscription automatically renews each month or year, depending on your payment plan selection. You authorize us to store your payment method(s) and to automatically charge your payment method(s) every month or year until you cancel. We will automatically charge you the then-current rate for your plan, plus applicable taxes, every month or year upon renewal until you cancel. You will receive an email each time your card is charged. See the "May I get a refund?" question above regarding our refund policy.  

 

Will subscription plan rates change?              

ScanCode reserves the right to change the pricing points of our subscription plans. We may alter your plan’s rate each monthly or annual renewal term, and we will notify you of any rate changes with the option to cancel. If the applicable tax changes during your monthly or annual term, we will adjust the tax-inclusive price for your plan on your next billing date.
